When searching for tips on how to enhance your SEO, you will likely stumble upon quick fixes – fast results are always appealing. However, Google’s algorithm is too intelligent for these strategies. Their algorithm features over two billion lines of code, which is a number that is always increasing and becoming more advanced, so the promises these quick trends make will never yield sustainable results. Instead, focus on the quality of your websites and profiles. Research your audience, use relevant keywords, create unique content, and be engaged online.
Duplicate content is detrimental.
You may think duplicate content will save you time, but it only wastes it. When it comes to SEO, quality is valued, not quantity. For example, depending on the structure of your website, you can often access the same content through various URLs. This is why it’s important to define your canonical URL within Google.
Correct broken links.
Often, there are times when we want to update or change a link. While it may seem more appealing to update the look of a link, what most entrepreneurs don’t realize is anything that was previously linked out using that specific URL is now broken, which could mean that people who are trying to find your website through an old source will get a “404 Not Found” message.
